Prince Harry will be in Toronto this week, his office confirmed to CTV News. The prince will be coming to the city at the invitation of the military charity, True Patriot Love Foundation, to attend several engagements involving Remembrance Day, though he has no events scheduled on the actual date. His office confirms he will be in town for two days, starting Wednesday, for “a series of events to support the Canadian Armed Forces and veteran community.” Those will be followed by a private lunch where they say he’ll discuss “international veterans’ issues.” Later that evening, Harry will attend a private fundraising event on behalf of the HALO Trust, an organization that works to clear explosives, including landmines, in areas following conflict. His mother, Princess Diana, publicly supported the same charity in the late ‘90s. On Thursday morning, the Duke’s office says he will visit the Veterans Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital to speak with veterans from both the Second World War and Korean War. Following that, he will go to the True Patriot Love National Tribute Dinner, which his office says is “Canada’s largest celebration in support of military members, veterans, and their families.” Harry last visited Canada earlier this year in February for the Invictus Games. His scheduled appearances in Toronto come on the heels of backlash after he was seen wearing an L.A. Dodgers hat at the World Series, which saw the Dodgers take on the Toronto Blue Jays.
