Camila Cabello was the surprise guest artist for Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella set on Friday night.

Del Rey temporarily left the stage after singing her song “Bartender” as Cabello launched into a surprise performance of her new single “I Luv It” from her forthcoming fourth studio album. Lana joined Cabello through some verses but mostly watched and danced from the balcony of her palace-like stage.

Cabello was backed by a crew of dancers who recreated the robotic choreography seen in the single’s matching music video which also features collaborator, Playboi Carti (Carti was not present on stage). Del Rey joined Cabello on the floor of the stage during Carti’s verse and placed her hands around Cabello’s waist as the two shared a playful spin.

“I luv it, I luv it, I luv it, I luv it,” Del Rey sang back to Cabello as the pop singer closed the song. She continued, “[Camila] is my girl, I have so much fun with her. I love this song and thank you so much angel, for coming and singing with me.”

Cabello responded, “This is an honor for me, you’re one of my favorite artists of all time. I love you so much.”

Del Rey’s week one Coachella performance welcomed recent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Jon Batiste, who again joined Del Rey again on Friday night. Both Antonoff and Batiste are also performing their own sets (Antonoff as the lead singer of the band Bleachers) at the festival. Billie Eilish also joined Del Rey who turned up for a surprise pair of duets of Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes,” and Del Rey’s “Video Games.”

The lights of Firefly Music Festival have flickered out again after AEG Presents officially canceled the event for a second consecutive year, the company announced on Thursday.

AEG shelved last years festival in order to take a year to recharge our lights. They said at the time, however, that Firefly would return to the Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway in 2024.

Fireflys organizers this week said they hope to resurrect the festival when the timing is right but stopped short of teasing a return in 2025.

Firefly Music Festival will not return in 2024, Dennis Dennehy, AEGs Chief Communications Officer, told the Daily State News. We look forward to powering Fireflys lights back on someday when the timing is right, but until then, The Woodlands will continue to host new music events for years to come.

Firefly has remained a staple in the Northeasts live music scene since its inaugural festival in 2012. Founded by Red Frog Events, the event became so successful that it was ultimately acquired by AEG, the entertainment giant who runs Coachella, in 2018.

The last Firefly Music Festival in 2022 featured performances by Zedd, Porter Robinson, Gryffin and John Summit, among other electronic music artists.

Taylor Swifts townhouse in New York City appears to have been the target of another break-in attempt, this time by a man who was arrested near the singers Tribeca home Saturday as police responded to a report of a disorderly person.

Witnesses said the man tried but failed to enter the townhouse in the early afternoon, the New York Post reported.

Police would not confirm a break-in attempt at Swifts home, but officers arrested a man on the same street when they were told he tried to open a door to a building, an NYPD spokesperson said Sunday. The man was charged on an unrelated 2017 warrant out of Brooklyn for allegedly failing to answer a summons, the spokesperson said.

Authorities did not release the mans name.

An email seeking comment was sent Sunday to a representative for the You Belong With Me singer. It wasnt clear if she was at the home at the time. She travelled Sunday to the Buffalo, New York, area, where her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was set to play against the Buffalo Bills in an NFL playoff game in the evening.

The Tribeca townhouse has been the scene of several other break-ins and attempts when Swift wasnt there, including some by alleged stalkers.

In 2022, a man was charged with trespassing and stalking after authorities said he entered two Tribeca residences linked to Swift. Also that year, a man was arrested for crashing a car into the townhouse and reportedly told police he wouldnt leave until he met with Swift.

In 2018, another man broke into her townhouse and took a nap, police said. The same man was charged a year later with another break-in at the building after serving a jail sentence.

Police say alleged stalkers have also been arrested at some of her other homes, including ones in Beverly Hills, California, and Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
