Two men are wanted by RCMP following a gun-related incident on a Northern Saskatchewan First Nation. On Sept. 16 at around 2:50 p.m., Wakaw RCMP learned of multiple reports of two-armed men on One Arrow First Nation. Wakaw RCMP responded and One Arrow First Nation went forward with a community lock down. An investigation determined an altercation occurred between two men. Both men possessed guns and both fled the area on foot. Neither firearm was discharged, and no injuries have been reported to police. Wakaw RCMP searched the area for the suspects with a drone but did not find them. As a result of the incident, Shakobey Sanderson, 18, and Bruce Matchap, 23, are each charged with pointing a firearm and possessing a firearm for a dangerous purpose. Matchap is also charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order condition. Warrants have been issued for both men. Sanderson is described as six feet tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Matchap is also described as six feet tall, 180 pounds, brown eyes, black hair with multiple face tattoos. Matchap also commonly goes by the name “BJ.” A recent photo of Sanderson is unavailable. Matchap is pictured at the top of the article.
