Regina police charged one person in connection to a weapons offence involving a machete on Sunday. Officers were called to the 2200 block of Lindsay Street around 3:58 p.m. for a report that a man was chasing multiple people and threatening them with a machete, according to a news release from the Regina Police Service (RPS). When officers arrived on scene, they found the suspect and arrested him, noting that a machete was found on the ground close by. A 29-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a probation order. The accused made his first appearance in provincial court on Monday morning.
