A day after Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) confirmed three tornadoes touched down in Manitoba, ECCC has issued another tornado warning for the south-central part of the province. Just after 6:30 p.m., ECCC said a severe thunderstorm system is being watched as it could possibly produce a tornado. ECCC issued a red tornado warning for the RM of Morris, which includes Rosenort and Aubigny. The warning expanded into the RM of Salaberry, including St-Pierre-Jolys and St. Malo just after 7:30 p.m., followed by the RM of Macdonald, including Brunkild, Starbuck and La Salle at 7:45 p.m. It was also in place for the RM of Roland, but it has since ended for the area. “This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation,” ECCC said. People are told to take shelter immediately. If that is not possible, they are told to lie in a low spot and protect their head. Three tornadoes touched down in Manitoba Tuesday, one south of Dauphin and two south of the Carman area.
